Choosing Rugby for Your Vacation

Do you enjoy watching rugby matches either live or on the television?  Are you in the throes of planning a late 2012 vacation or even your 2013 or 2014 vacations? Are you bored with themed attractions, museums, art galleries, typical cultural events, long road trips, or shopping for the same old souvenirs that you shopped for on your last vacation?

If you can answer any or all of the above questions in the affirmative (that means yes!) why not look at rugby supporters tours for your late 2012 vacation, or even for your 2013 or 2014 vacations?  These tours combine world-class rugby action with exotic and interesting locations, three, four, or five star hotel accommodations, great food, unusual cultural events, interesting shopping, unique sightseeing opportunities, or even just relaxing at your hotel with a cool drink in your hand.

Holiday Time Escapes is a South Africa based tour provider that is currently booking for their Hong Kong Sevens tour in March 2013.  These tours include flights from South Africa to Hong Kong, all airport taxes, 4 nights in a four-star hotel that is within walking distance of the stadium, a welcome drinks reception, airport transfers in Hong Kong, Holiday Time Escapes tour merchandise, and a Holiday Time Escapes tour representative in Hong Kong (to ensure the smooth operation of the tour). Packages don’t include tips, gratuities, or meals (unless otherwise specified).  Packages start at 19750 ZAR (South African Rand) which is equivalent to $2388.29 USD at current exchange rates.

Haka Tours is a New Zealand based tour provider that offers packages to Scotland, Ireland, and within New Zealand itself.  Packages include flights, accommodations, tickets and entrance fees, and daily breakfasts along with tour guides that are as passionate about rugby as you are.  Prices range from 2799 NZD to 4499 NZD (New Zealand Dollars which are equivalent to $2238.36 to $3597.85 USD at current exchange rates).

PK Sports Tours is based in South Africa. This tour provider says that they offer both supporters tours and school tours, but their website discusses only school tours. There is very little information on destinations, what the tours include, or costs included on the website.

World Sports Tours is a Wales-based provider that offers inbound and outbound Rugby Union tours as well as inbound and outbound Rugby League tours. Destinations include England, Scotland, Ireland, France, Holland, Italy, Serbia, the USA, South Africa, Fiji, Samoa, Tonga, Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, and Australia.
